🔒 Your privacy matters
We use data only as far as needed to handle purchases and improve the Shop.
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data is Markiko Jewelry. For matters related to processing you can contact us at: markizakontakt@gmail.com or via Instagram Direct: @markiza_jewelry.pl.
The controller keeps data confidential and processes it in line with the GDPR and Polish data protection law.
2. What data we collect
- identification and contact data: first name, last name, e-mail, phone number;
- data for delivery and settlements: address, chosen parcel locker, transaction data;
- information about Orders, returns, complaints and contact history;
- technical data: IP address, cookie identifiers, device type and information about activity in the Shop;
- marketing data given voluntarily: e.g. an e-mail address signed up for the newsletter.
3. Purposes and legal bases of processing
- performance of a contract — handling the cart, Order, payment and delivery (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- legal obligation — tax settlements and accounting records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
- legitimate interest — contact, protection of claims, security analysis and Shop statistics (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- consent — newsletter, marketing and optional analytics and advertising cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
4. Data recipients
Data may be entrusted to entities supporting the Shop, to the extent needed for their tasks:
- bank payment operators and fraud prevention tool providers;
- courier companies and parcel locker operators;
- providers of hosting, e-mail, the shop system and analytics tools;
- the accounting office, law firm and authorised public bodies, when required by law.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some technology providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case the controller uses the safeguards required by the GDPR, in particular adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention period
- contract data — for the time of fulfilling the Order, then until claims become time-barred;
- accounting documents — for the period required by tax law;
- marketing data — until consent is withdrawn or an objection is raised;
- technical data and cookies — for the lifetime of the file or until it is deleted in the browser settings.
7. Your rights
In connection with data processing you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy;
- rectification, erasure or restriction of processing;
- data portability, to object and to withdraw consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
8. Cookies
The Shop uses cookies needed for the cart, logging in and security. With consent, functional, analytics and marketing cookies may also be used.
You can change your preferences in the cookie banner or the browser settings. Limiting necessary cookies may affect some Shop features.
9. Voluntary provision of data
Providing the data needed to place an Order is voluntary but necessary to conclude and perform the contract. Marketing consents are always voluntary and are not a condition of purchase.
The controller does not make decisions with legal effects about Customers by solely automated means.
10. Security and policy changes
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including connection encryption, access control and limiting the data processed.
The policy may be updated when the law, technology or the way the Shop works changes. The current version is always published on this page. The document applies from 1 January 2026.
